Mautner Markhof Estragon Senf (Tarragon Mustard)

Tarragon mustard in a tube · Mautner Markhof · Spreads & condiments

9/10must-try

Why it's worth it

Estragon (tarragon) mustard is described as Austria's favourite mustard, made by Mautner Markhof from a blend of yellow and brown seeds on their stone-mill process. It has no everyday Czech counterpart, and the squeeze-tube format is a distinctly Austrian way to buy mustard, which makes it a genuine take-home rather than a shelf lookalike.

Taste

Spicy-hot mustard with a distinct tarragon note; sharper and more herbal than the sweet Kremser
