Deroni Staroselska Lutenitsa (Coarsely Ground Pepper Spread)

Why it's worth it

Lutenitsa, the roasted-pepper-and-tomato relish, is Bulgaria's national spread, eaten on bread or with grilled meat. Deroni grows its own peppers and is the reference bottled brand; the coarsely ground Staroselska is the hearty, chunky style. It reaches Czech shelves only through Balkan importers, so a jar is a genuine local buy.
