Zaharni Zavodi in Gorna Oryahovitsa is the oldest maker of lokum in Bulgaria, and rose lokum made with the country's signature Rosa damascena is the classic edible souvenir. Plain rahat lokum can be found in Czech Turkish shops, but the Bulgarian rose version is a distinct, aromatic take rather than a shelf lookalike.
