Afchain Les Bêtises de Cambrai (Mint)

Minted boiled sweets · Afchain · Chocolate & candy · Cambrai (Nord)

8/10must-try

Why it's worth it

Bêtises de Cambrai are a candy of the Nord region born, so the legend goes, from an apprentice's mistake, and Confiserie Afchain has been making them to the original recipe for over 150 years. The mint-and-caramel drops are a distinctly regional French sweet with no Czech shelf equivalent.

Taste

Small pillow-shaped boiled sugar drops flavoured with Mitcham mint and a caramel stripe; refreshing, sweet, with a light minty cool
