Why it's worth it

Clément Faugier created its sweetened chestnut cream in the Ardèche in 1885 and the recipe (chestnuts, vanilla, sugar, water) is unchanged. In France it is spooned onto crêpes and into desserts, especially in winter and at ski resorts; the toothpaste-style tube is the classic format and there is no Czech supermarket equivalent.
