Palirria Dolmades (Stuffed Vine Leaves)

Rice-stuffed vine leaves Β· Palirria Β· Pantry specialties

must-try

Why it's worth it

Palirria has made ready-to-eat Greek dolmades since 1957: tender grapevine leaves hand-wrapped around rice flavoured with dill and mint. The dolmades have won a Superior Taste Award, and a tin eaten cold with lemon is a genuine Greek meze you cannot get from a Czech shelf. Opinions vary, but it is the reference canned dolmades.

Taste

Vine leaves rolled around herbed rice with dill, mint and lemon; tangy and aromatic, served cold or at room temperature

If you know Czech shelves

No CZ analog; stuffed vine leaves are a distinctly Greek/Balkan meze
