Mulino Bianco Pan di Stelle

Star-topped cocoa biscuits · Mulino Bianco · Biscuits & wafers

9/10must-try

Why it's worth it

Pan di Stelle are one of Italy's most popular breakfast biscuits, the cocoa cookies topped with little white sugar stars that are a fixture of the Italian colazione. Reviewers put them at the very top of the Italian biscuit shelf. Mulino Bianco biscuits do turn up in Czech import aisles at a steep markup, so buying them in Italy is both cheaper and more authentic.

Taste

Cocoa-and-hazelnut biscuits dusted with icing-sugar stars; crumbly, rich, chocolatey with a light nutty depth
