Ptasie Mleczko ("bird's milk") was invented by Wedel in 1936 and is one of Poland's most recognised confectioneries, a boxed grid of foam-filled chocolate squares. Wedel's own version is a Polish icon that a Czech shopper cannot casually pick up at home, so the big yellow box is a genuine take-home.
