Why it's worth it

Launched in Barcelona in 1946, Cola Cao is the single most iconic food brand in Spain and the taste of a Spanish childhood. Its trademark is that it does not fully dissolve, leaving the lumps many Spaniards love. A Czech shopper knows the format from Granko, but Cola Cao itself is a distinct cult product not sold on Czech shelves.

Taste

Soluble cocoa drink mix with malted barley; deep and chocolatey but not too sweet or bitter, famous for its characteristic undissolved lumps

Czech Granko is the direct category analog (instant cocoa drink), but Cola Cao is the Spanish original with its signature lumps
