Inés Rosales Tortas de Aceite (Original Sevilla)

Olive-oil and anise crisp cakes · Inés Rosales · Biscuits & wafers · Seville

9/10must-try

Why it's worth it

A Sevillian classic made since 1910 and still hand-flattened and hand-wrapped by local women. Reviewers call them so light, delicate and crisp, slightly sweet with a gentle flavour of olive oil and a hint of anise, and they have no Czech supermarket counterpart.

Taste

Thin, flaky round crisps with over 24% olive oil; light and crunchy, lightly sweet with a glaze of sugar and flecks of anise and sesame

If you know Czech shelves

No CZ analog; an olive-oil-and-anise crisp bread torta unlike any common Czech biscuit
