Nocilla Original (Hazelnut-Cocoa Spread)
Hazelnut-cocoa spread · Nocilla · Spreads & condiments
Why it's worth it
Created in 1967 for the Spanish market, Nocilla is one of the most nostalgic Spanish sweets, a breakfast-and-birthday staple for anyone who was a child in Spain. It plays the role Nutella does elsewhere, so it is worth trying as the Spanish icon rather than a shelf upgrade: one candy reviewer was blunt that Nocilla is a fine spread, but it's not as good as Nutella.
Taste
Chocolate-hazelnut spread; sweet and cocoa-forward, a touch less nutty than Nutella according to reviewers
