Why it's worth it
Made in Kyiv since 1956 and now produced by Roshen's Kyiv factory, the round box with the chestnut leaf has become a symbol of the city. It is a supermarket-shelf cake rather than a bakery item, so it is easy to pick up, and in Czechia the Roshen original only turns up frozen in Ukrainian and Russian specialty shops.

Two crisp hazelnut meringue layers with a sweet buttercream filling and a chocolate glaze; very sweet, nutty and crunchy
